A special thanks to 3 of my grandchildren for being my models and helping me out last night - we had a blast (even though I did get hit in the head with a few snowballs LOL)!!
Had so much fun with this wonderful young couple the other night and love how the resulting pictures really seemed to capture their playful, loving relationship. The changing leaves and my wildflower garden were the perfect colorful background for this Fall session. I hope these pictures bring them as much joy as I had taking them - their happiness was definitely contagious!!

I had the pleasure over the last few months to meet and photograph three great extended families - the most recent being 31 members of the Armstrong family this past Sunday. I'm always honored when family groups of 10-30 people work together to identify an evening where they all come together for me to capture their unique family in pictures. One family member is usually the organizer of the group and the person I work closely with to schedule the date, time, location, etc. I give these ladies kudos for pulling each of their extended family sessions together - I know it wasn't easy but I'm guessing they would all agree it was well worth it!! Even though these large group sessions are busy with much to accomplish - I always try to approach them with humor, patience and a genuine desire to provide each family with a relaxed and fun experience that will result in beautiful portraits that they'll want to display proudly in their homes.
While the large group picture is usually the main reason for bringing the family together - it's the combinations of other family groups (4 generations, grandparents with their children, grandparents with grandchildren, cousins, individual families, siblings, etc.) that make these sessions so special and unique for each family.
I love doing extended family sessions because I know how special and treasured they are to my clients and will be for years to come!

A shout out and great big thanks to my daughter Amanda for being such a great assistant and helping to make my extended family sessions run smoothly - couldn't do it without you!!
What a colorful September it was!! We celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary in August but didn't get a chance to take our anniversary portrait until this month in front of our beautiful wild flower garden. Some of my favorites this month feature flowers in my garden and pictures from our trip to the amazing Adirondack Balloon Festival in Glens Falls, NY.

Spent another very special girls weekend this month in Lake George with my Mom, sister, daughter and granddaughter and just had to take a picture of us all in our matching tie dye shirts. Some of my other favorites feature some of the special girls in my life and my beautiful wild flower garden.
