Newborn babies melt my heart and newborn babies in the loving arms of new parents melt it even more! This precious little man arrived a few days later than expected and was the star of the show in my studio a couple of weeks ago. The sole goal of my newborn/family sessions is to capture the overwhelming love that new Mom's and Dad's have for their precious new baby and freeze those genuine, emotional feelings in pictures to treasure always! We started the session with Mom and baby and I must say there's nothing more beautiful than photographing a mother and her newborn - the life changing love so evident and palpable that it gets me every time! I then had Dad join his wife and son and told them to love on their baby, cuddle close and feel the moment - they did this to perfection! Father and son pictures of this handsome Dad and his little mini me were next and then grandma joined her daughter and first grandchild for some special three generation portraits. This little guy didn't want to miss anything so I was able to take some wide eyed wrapped shots and when he finally fell asleep toward the end of the session I was able to capture some precious sleepy shots as well. I thank the Rinker's for choosing me to photograph this special time in their lives and feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to capture such beautiful pictures for such a loving couple.

I had so much fun photographing Hailey's beautiful senior session last week and am so excited to share some of my favorites from her session. The outfits she chose contrasted perfectly with my wildflowers and made her pop while surrounded by the goldenrod in our field. I just love working with seniors - they make my job so easy! Hailey's makeup was striking, as was her beautiful smile. I love the variety of looks she gave me with the more serious ones converting so beautifully to black and white! I want to thank her for being such a willing and patient young woman to work with - I'm so happy she chose me to be her senior photographer! Have a great senior year Hailey - enjoy every last minute of it!!

Mini sessions are great when you only need a few pictures of your family or growing little (or not so little) one. This sweet girl arrived in a beautiful pale pink dress and I couldn't believe how much she had grown since her Christmas mini session this past November. Sitting on a blanket just wasn't her style so after a couple sitting shots I just let her have fun!! She ran down the path in our field, I picked some flowers for her, we chased each other around my wildflower garden and she ended up having so much fun she didn't want the session to be over - a definite win for this photographer LOL! I just love each and every one of this beautiful, energetic little girl's mini gallery!! I included a bonus 6th picture because the last one of her running away from me at the end of the session was too precious to leave out!!
This wildflower mini session is a perfect example of the variety of pictures possible in a quick 15-20 minute 5 picture mini session!! I'm currently booking wildflower mini sessions until the end of the month. 20 minutes | 5 digital images | $75. Contact me with questions or to book your session today!!

I’m so enjoying and loving my wildflower garden sessions this summer! With the flowers in full bloom it's such a beautiful and colorful location for family, senior, couple or individual sessions. I had such a fun time with this beautiful mother and daughter last Sunday on a perfect August evening. Piper at seven was the perfect age for this session and so beautiful, cooperative and silly!! Kat graduated with my oldest son so it was fun to see her years later with so much love for her precious daughter. We started the session with them walking on the path in our field then I captured a beautiful series with Piper loving on Mom – so precious!! After some pictures on a blanket we moved into the field with the sunflowers as a backdrop and then finished the session with some individual portraits. I love capturing the joy of little people running in the path so full of energy and life - what made these pictures so special was the joyous smile on Mom’s face as she watched her daughter from a distance!! Below are some of my favorites from this session (it was so hard to choose)!!
Schedule your full or mini session today!! I photographed this family in my studio in January when their youngest was only a few weeks old – Wow was I surprised how much she had grown when they got out of the car for their wildflower garden mini session 7 months later!!! It never ceases to amaze me how much a little one can change during their first year. One of my favorite things about being a photographer is being witness and documenting these astounding changes along the way. We had the perfect evening to capture some beautiful pictures of these sweet sisters so we started with the girls on a blanket and then I photographed each of them separately. Big sister will be starting preschool in a few weeks and was very proud to have turned 4 and had fun running in the path in the field behind the wildflowers! Then it was little sisters turn - I sat her in a tiny chair and I could have photographed her contagious, big smile all day long! I just love the pictures of her looking lovingly to the side where Mom was just out of view. We wrapped up the session with a couple of quick, beautiful summer family portraits.
I can’t wait to work with this sweet little family again in the future. I know I always say that – but I really mean it – repeat clients are the best!!
