It's that time of year again when we all struggle coming up with special and useful gift ideas for our loved ones. Wouldn't you love to give a unique gift that will never break, won't become outdated and will only grow more treasured with time? If so, a gift certificate for a photo session with Kathleen Chapman Photography might be the perfect gift you've been searching for!! Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount for the recipient to redeem toward a studio or on location session. Sessions range from $125-$175 for studio sessions and $200-$250 for on location sessions (see investment information for more details). The amount of the gift certificate is up to you - you can choose to gift a full session or a portion of a session (where the session fee will be reduced by the amount of the certificate) - it's up to you!! Certificates can also be purchased by multiple family members (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.) to be pooled together to fully fund a session - the options are endless.
If you're a parent or grandparent wondering what to get your grown children this year - think how excited, surprised and happy they would be to receive a gift certificate toward something as special as a photo session to capture their unique family in some beautiful pictures to be treasured always!!
Gift certificates are double sided and printed on 5 X 5 card stock with a cream envelope for gift giving.
To redeem a gift certificate recipients will contact Kathleen Chapman Photography to schedule a date and time for their session - the amount of the certificate(s) will be deducted from their session fee. Gift certificates do not expire.
Had so much fun taking portraits of this beautiful, loving family last Saturday. From the moment they entered my studio I knew the session was going to be special. Ann provided very thoughtful responses to the questions on my new client questionnaire and it was so great that this couple had a clear idea of the type of photos they were looking for. They purposefully chose to go with all white backgrounds so the resulting pictures could be displayed in any room of their home. I worried that it might be challenging to produce a varied gallery with only white backgrounds, but as soon as I began shooting those worries quickly disappeared. The session flowed from family portraits, to pictures of the children together, individual child portraits and ended with some sweet family portraits on the white bed. The little ones were so sweet together and had the most beautiful brown eyes and long eye lashes - swoon!! I just love the clean, crisp feel to these photos and how the white background really put the focus on my beautiful subjects. Here are some of my favorites from this studio session (yes - I have lots of favorites)!! Can't wait to find out which portraits they decide to hang proudly in their home!!
We are so blessed that 4 of our 6 grandchildren live locally! This Grammy is always more than willing to take pictures of these special people to document birthdays and holidays (and everything in-between)!! I had been wanting to take some pictures in my studio with my new snowflake and star background ever since it arrived. When my daughter and youngest granddaughter were visiting this weekend we decided to give it a try. The little one sat patiently while I curled her hair but when it came time to sit on the mini couch she quickly let me know she wasn't ready to sit still for long LOL!! I was able to take a quick picture of her precious cheese smile on the couch but then she was off and running. I was hoping for a few more pictures so my daughter and I distracted her with some Christmas books and stuffed animals which kept her entertained for a few minutes and some timeless pictures. I was planning to have her change into a little plaid nightie for some pictures on the white bed but when she climbed up before changing and posed on her stomach without prompting - I gladly snapped a few precious close up shots before having her change (those cheeks)!! She enjoyed playing with a snow globe and we ended the session with some jumping on the bed!!

More pictures of this beautiful setup coming this weekend!!
Had so much fun with this wonderful young couple the other night and love how the resulting pictures really seemed to capture their playful, loving relationship. The changing leaves and my wildflower garden were the perfect colorful background for this Fall session. I hope these pictures bring them as much joy as I had taking them - their happiness was definitely contagious!!
